Artist of life

I like to explore the space between the personal and the collective. Guided by curiosity and a layered sensitivity, I move between vulnerability, imagination, and belonging.

I am Park Keun Sook | Martine Bergevoet, artist, coach and change leader, moving between different worlds.

Born in Korea and raised in the Netherlands,

I have spent much of my life exploring what it means to belong. Between cultures, between strength and vulnerability, between the individual and the collective, between doing and simply being.

For many years, my professional life has taken place within organisations and public institutions, where I work with people, leadership and change.

I am fascinated by what happens beneath structures and systems: how people relate, what makes us hold on, what allows us to change, and what becomes possible when we truly meet one another.

Over time, this same exploration found its way into clay. Working with Korean ceramics, particularly the moon jar, became a way of reconnecting with my Korean roots. Not by trying to recover something that was lost, but by allowing another part of myself to emerge.

Clay taught me something that I also recognize in coaching and in life: not everything needs to be controlled or perfected. Sometimes we need to slow down enough to see what is already there.

Today, my work moves freely between ceramics, coaching and poetry. They may appear to be different disciplines, but for me they come from the same place: curiosity about what it means to be human and how we exist in relationship with ourselves, with one another and with the world around us.

My work is influenced by both Eastern and Western perspectives and by a growing understanding of interbeing: the awareness that nothing exists entirely on its own.

I am drawn to softness rather than perfection, presence rather than performance, and to the spaces in between, where identities do not have to be resolved and opposites can exist alongside one another. Perhaps that is what I create, in clay, words, conversations and organisations:

space.

Space to slow down.
Space to look again.
Space to encounter what is already here.

And sometimes, space to come home to ourselves.
